In literature, characters can be made to seem Christ like in order to produce an effect. One such character is Aslan, in the Chronicles of Narnia. Aslan has so many Christ like attributes, it's almost like he is a reincarnation of Christ than a Christ like figure. At one point or another, Aslan can be seen portraying almost every significant attribute of Christ: he is good with children, he speaks in aphorisms, has confronted the devil (White Witch), he is forgiving, he travels by foot, and he has spent long periods of time in the wilderness. There are more direct and symbolic connections to Christ, but the greatest one is when Aslan is Sacrificed (Crucified) to the White Witch. Similarly to Christ though, Aslan rises on the third day and brings salvation to his people.
