· The Israelites began to increase in number
· They were then enslaved by the Egyptians
· The Pharaoh of Egypt commanded the midwifes to kill all the boys of the Hebrews
· The midwifes feared God, and did not kill the boys
· Then the Pharaoh ordered his people to throw every Hebrew boy that is born into the Nile
· Moses was born, and his mother tried to hide him
· She put him in a basket and set him on the banks of the Nile
· The Pharaohs daughter found the baby and raised him
· Later in life, Moses saw an Egyptian beating a Hebrew, and killed the Egyptian
· Word got out and Moses was forced to flee to Midian
· In Midian, Moses married a priest's daughter
· One day, the Lord came to Moses and told him that he must save his people
· The Lord told Moses to say the Lord of their fathers had sent him
· He gave Moses signs to show the people to convince him
· Moses returned to Egypt, and freed his people
